Long before contributing millions in revenue at some of the fastest-growing startups globally, my 6-year remote work journey in customer success, sales, and growth hacking wouldn't have taken off had I not started my career at a global BPO company based in Jamaica.
As a growth hacker, my peers and colleagues praise me as a risk-taker that's bold enough to "breaks things" and who isn't afraid of change. But I have to credit the constant CX changes at the BPO I worked at for inspiring these traits from the start.
Like me, BPOs have launched the careers of tens of millions of successful people around the world. So BPOs are indeed essential. But they just need to "work better" to be highly desired places to work and be highly profitable at the same time. I'm determined to help make that happen.
